On March 24, Kyiv hosted the Tech360: Policy meets Technology conference, with GORO as an official partner of the event. Among the key topics, tech industry leaders discussed whether the future of technology will remain concentrated in large cities or shift toward a model of distributed technology hubs across Ukraine.

Volodymyr Garazd, CEO of GORO Development and GORO Mountain Resort, noted that technology is gradually moving beyond major urban centers — toward locations where there is both demand for advanced digital solutions and a well-established, high-quality, and secure living environment.
Globally, this shift is already underway. In France, Switzerland, and Austria, tech hubs are emerging outside мегаполісів — often around strong infrastructure projects. One example is Outdoor Sports Valley in Annecy, where an ecosystem of global brands and technology teams has formed alongside the mountains. Developers increasingly build products where they are tested — reshaping the very logic of business location.

In Ukraine, these processes are unfolding even faster. The high pace of life and work creates new challenges, including significant psychological pressure. In response, there is a growing demand for environments where work does not displace life, but is organically integrated into it. The ability to move from an intense work session to a mountain slope or forest within minutes fundamentally changes the lifestyle scenario and becomes a real tool for preventing burnout.
This is why large-scale infrastructure projects like the international mountain resort GORO are becoming the foundation for new regional hubs. The focus is on creating alternative centers of gravity beyond major cities — with world-class infrastructure and a high quality of life.

A resort as a technological platform
A modern mountain resort is a complex technological system. Behind a seamless guest experience lies a digital ecosystem that connects dozens of services and millions of data points.
Key solutions include:
- a unified commerce platform providing seamless access to all services;
- a single digital guest profile (Guest ID) enabling personalized experiences;
- flow management systems using sensors, GPS, and analytics;
- a data platform supporting personalization, pricing, and demand forecasting.
This approach transforms the resort into a data-driven business and an open platform that local services, businesses, and partners can integrate with.
Unlike most global resorts, which are forced to integrate fragmented systems post factum, GORO is designed from the ground up as a holistic digital architecture. This creates the opportunity to deliver an entirely new level of service and attract top-tier product teams as partners.

A unique growth dynamic made possible in Ukraine
For technology entrepreneurs not only to work in Ukraine, but to choose it for living and investing, it is essential to create real conditions that support such decisions.
This includes:
- integrating businesses into strong and capable local communities;
- creating space for meaningful collaboration and modern business models;
- establishing a high standard of technological service.
In such an environment, the decision to stay and invest becomes not emotional, but rational.

From a financial perspective, the capitalization dynamics currently demonstrated by Ukraine are difficult to find in stable European markets. Investing in GORO’s hotel infrastructure means owning a high-performing asset — but beyond that, it offers the opportunity to grow alongside the project and become a driver of regional development.
